All the companies these days have a Net Policy in place. No company wants their employees to access websites that are deemed unnecessary for the business or send confidential company data to others. Most companies today have their IT department in place and it is through this department that the company network policy is put in place.

To ensure that these things don’t happen in reality, a strong policy control has to be put in place and is indeed put in place by most companies. One also needs to remember that it is not only enough to have a policy in place but also to ensure that the employees are aware of the policy. That is why whenever a new employee joins the company, he or she is made aware of the company’s policy on Internet usage so that there is no confusion in future.

These tools are very useful to make sure that employees only access what they need to access and nothing else. The employers remain productive and the company lies secure in the knowledge that the data is safe and secure.

It is good if your organization has a net policy in place. It should be there at any cost. However, if your organization does not have it yet and you are still thinking whether it is worth incurring this expense, please don’t think any further.
